While performing in
the chorus at the Center Theatre in New York, Meryl Baxter and Neil Rose teamed
up to do a comedy routine. Shortly after they added another chorus member Don
Arther and auditioned "The Rookies". The show's producers knew it would be
a hit with the audiences and added it to the show immediately. After
serving their country in the the war and loosing Don to the war, Meryl and Neil
moved to England and teamed up with Bill Larson to become the "The Three
Rookies". They were and instant success in England and after touring for
two years, returned to the United States and played several successful
engagements, eventually retiring back to California. |
